SURREY, BC BLUE EAGLES COMMUNITY CADETS PROGRAM

Our Blue Eagles Community Cadets program is

generously supported by a grant from the City of Surrey

Initially launched in Vancouver by the Metro Vancouver Transit Police in 2021, the Blue Eagles Community Cadets program highlights the importance of teaching youth about Indigenous culture and policing. This free program for students aged 12 to 15 was later expanded to Surrey, which was when Surrey Crime Prevention Society was invited to come onboard as a key partner.

SCPS proudly collaborates with multiple agencies and community partners to support the growth of our local youth. Through the Blue Eagles Community Cadets program, we are able to offer them the following opportunities:

To learn how to actively help their community & build connections!
To meet strong Indigenous role models!
To understand how to care for their physical fitness & mental health!
To fully explore available & suitable career options!
